TOP 9 REGRETS PEOPLE MAKE

Regret is one of the most powerful emotions that many people feel, especially for the dying who, on their deathbed, often express the heavy burdens of regretting the things they didn't get to do when they had the chances to do them. Regrets are not just expressed by the dearly departing but by each and every one of us. We get haunted by the thoughts of "I should have" "Would have" "Could have" and replay different scenarios of the possibilities brought about by the "What Ifs". Time gets wasted. We get wasted; into a deep pit where we allow ourselves to wallow in the Pool of Regret instead of taking action and just doing it.

Why wait for the last days of our lives to realize these things? Why set it aside and leave things taken for granted? Regret does not only affect and reflect our inner-selves, but they are also perceived by those around us.

Below is a list of the top things people regret doing:

1. Wish I was more true to myself and not care what other people think.
Being overly conscious about each and every action you are about to do is not healthy. You are not being true to who you are. You will tend to hold back from even voicing out your own opinions due to fear of rejection and criticism. This leads one to become quite socially awkward and seemingly trying too hard to fit into a society. Many times, there are regrets of not being able to stand up for yourself, which results to you holding silent grudges. Take a stand! If you know you are right about something, say it.

2. Wish I didn't work so hard. I should have made more time for my family and with people who mattered.
There is a big difference now with the working generations of our grandparents and the current working adult brackets. Before, society had been quite strict, unknowingly to majority of the people. During the time of our grandparents and parents, the usual required steps in order to live a good life is to study hard and get a 9-5 job. Now, there seems to be more freedom when it comes to Time Management. Thanks to the internet and fast-developing technology for communication, we can now spend more time to contact loved ones.

3. Wish I had pursued my passions, my dreams, my aspirations. Wish i had accomplished more in my life and not afraid to take risks.
This is where one starts to regret the chances they didn't take. They did not live more in the moment. There are many factors that could hinder one to not do what they dream to do, but it should not stop you or create a road block. If you really want to, you can always make time for it. We should also not be afraid in taking risks. Being aware of these things should encompass the acknowledgement and understanding of all the possibilities that come with pursuing your dream. This is where our battles with the Self comes in. This is where we judge our Self Worth.

4. Wish I said "I Love You" more.
Now this, this is very important. Love is one of the major players of Life. This should not be taken for granted. This is not only what people who are dying say they regret, but it is also the case for many who had lost a loved one. Love is unconditional. Love has no boundaries. There are many people who find it hard to say these three simple words, but it will matter greatly to the one you say it to. Why wait until it's too late to tell someone you love them?

5. Wish I had saved more money for my family.
Money is such a necessity. For many, they think money can solve all problems. For others, to work hard is to provide a comfortable life for their family. But this also ties in with not being able to spend more time for their loved ones. And it adds up to the pile of regrets when the end of one's life is near. Many people tend to spend for leisure and not think of the consequences thereafter.

6. Wish I had traveled more.
To travel the world requires many things. Money and Time are high on that list. As one daydreams and aspired to travel, most of the time they get pulled back down into reality because of expenses constraints. But there are many ways to go around the road-blocks. You just need to find out for yourself how to go about it. This is also where some regret living in the moment; deciding to just pack up their bags and go. Traveling gives you growth. It educates you. Experiences are the best teachers, as they say.

7. Wish I had taken better care of myself, my health, and realize that I am a "beautiful" person.
More often than not, we start to realize the value of health when it is already too late. And as we grow older, our body also starts to wear down. Take the time and start now to take care of yourself. Get into an exercise regime, or change your eating habits to improve your diet. As stubborn as most of us are when we were younger, it is difficult for us to realize how important health is. As young adults or teenagers, we had bigger stamina and higher energy which makes us think and feel that nothing can harm us. But sickness of all kinds breaks our walls, and we don't realize how "beautiful" we actually were when we were healthier.

8. Wish I could have shown more gratitude to others.
We take people for granted. This happens a lot. We don't show enough gratitude for others who have done us good. We think we can just let them slide, but in the end it haunts us still. To show your appreciation takes a simple message, a phone call, or a gift if you prefer to do so. Showing your thanks takes your relationship with the other person to a higher level.

9. I should have made myself Happier.
This would be one of the most expressed regrets made by people who are dying. It all goes back to the Self. How one had lived their lives. Did they live it to its most potential? Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is gained by the good you do for yourself and for others. Happiness can come in many different forms, be it in a small or grand scale. Simple joys felt every day can make a huge difference in one's life. Worrying and shutting off one's self from the world just leaves you to view your life from a third-person point of view, as if you were reading a fiction novel filled with What Ifs and What Would Have Beens.

Why wait before it's too late? Make a change NOW and LIVE YOUR LIFE in a way that will leave you with NO REGRETS.

Get motivated in reaching for your life goals. It's never too late to do it!

FOOD REMEDIES AND NATURAL SOLUTIONS TO HELP TREAT YOUR INSOMNIA AND IMPROVE YOUR SLEEPING HABITS

FOOD REMEDIES AND NATURAL SOLUTIONS TO HELP TREAT YOUR INSOMNIA AND IMPROVE YOUR SLEEPING HABITS

Insomnia is the habitual inability to sleep, and there are different types of insomnia known as Short-Term and Chronic, the latter being categorized as having difficulty falling or staying asleep for more than six months. How this is even possible for a person to experience for such a long time is quite mind-blowing, especially for someone who has not experienced Chronic Insomnia. But these sleep deprivations are nothing to laugh about. These can truly become harmful to one's health and the quality of one's life.

Some causes of insomnia are rooted to stress and anxiety, unhealthy daily diets and too much caffeine, nicotine and alcohol— although this is supposed to be a sedative— can actually prevent you from getting to the deeper stages of sleep. Forced change in sleeping patterns for long periods of time eventually mess up your body clock, while emotional and/or physical discomfort, and even environmental factors can also interfere with sleep. But take note that insomnia also becomes common as you get older, and lack of activity can affect a good, sound sleep.

The main ingredient that one needs to improve one's sleep and treat insomnia is the hormone called Melatonin, which is produced by the pineal gland and regulates the body's circadian rhythms or the sleep-wake cycle. It naturally increases the feelings of sleepiness and is relaxation. Then there is, what they call the "Magic Trio" for sleep boosters. These are magnesium, potassium and tryptophan.

There are certain types of food and other natural remedies that can help treat insomnia:

1. Almonds or Almond Milk - these are excellent sources of magnesium. It is a natural muscle relaxant and has stress-relieving properties.

2. Cherries - provides a significant amount of raise melatonin content and improves sleep quality and efficiency.

3. Bananas - Yes, we know that these are also promoted as natural energy boosters, but they also contain lots of magnesium, tryptophan and potassium, which gives the effects of feeling sleepy.
4. Valerian (root) - in tea form or herbal extract medicine, this plant is a natural sedative used even during the Ancient Roman or Grecian eras.

5. Oatmeal and other whole grains - breakfast food always gives warm, fuzzy feelings when taken during dinner time, and oatmeal is high in magnesium and potassium. Carbohydrates also increases the production of serotonin which also slows the nerve activity and gives the effects of calming our brains.

6. Red meat and Iron-Rich Food - another cause for insomnia could be anemia or iron deficiency. Have some lean red meat and less saturated fat for lunch instead of dinner.

7. Turkey - It is rich in tryptophan, which is an amino acid our body uses to produce serotonin.

8. Honey with Warm Milk - This stimulates insulin that allows more tryptophan to enter the brain.

9. Chamomile Tea - A nice warm cup of this can be very relaxing and if taken right before you go to bed, it could help you fall asleep. It is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial.

10. Lavender - Relaxing, calming and encourages sleep. This has been used in various forms such as oils, shampoo, body soap, aromatherapy candles and incense.

11. Sleep Inducing Music Therapy with Binaural Beats - Changing your state of mind using binaural beats to induce sleepiness can also be achieved. The scientific approach to this is with the use of brainwave frequencies that trigger sleep aids. Scientific research says that when we sleep, our brainwaves are in the Delta range, and using programs to simulate the binaural beat frequencies that are in this range can help you feel more relaxed, drowsy, and help your mind and body get into the zone, ready for a good, sound sleep.

All you need to do is play your preferred binaural beat (tracks with music accompaniments have been much favorable and tolerable for many people as compared to the pure tone versions) as you lie down, ready for bed. Let the audio take over your busy thoughts and just focus on the music or tones. You will eventually fall asleep while the audio plays.

Our recommendation is to always have the volume level at a comfortable low.

Below is one of our Sleep Aid videos that continua frequencies to help treat insomnia.

How to Start a Dream Sharing Circle

How to Start a Dream Sharing Circle

Are you a dreamer? Have you been looking for communities — online or offline — to share your dream experiences?

Being part of a dream circle can be amazingly perfect at finding the inner truths in a dream, conquering your fears, facing future possibilities, or emotional issues from the past.  Unluckily, the mere fact is that we are pretty bad at visualizing our dreams within our inner selves particularly, if we have not been following or keeping track of our dreams. Setting up a good, reliable group is like finding your comfort zone and safe haven. A dream circle can swiftly convey many perspectives on what your dreams mean and could also bring wisdom and insight that can really help and surprise the dreamer.

You can start building up a dream circle in your locality. The most important thing is that you gather a small group of people who trust each other and feel safe enough to tell their dream and listen to advice about what others think.

Starting your own dream circle can be done through the internet or live sessions.

Did you know?

Throughout the history of man, dreams have been the gateway that people use to seek resolution to problems, situations, or questions that need answers. The symbolisms in a dream are key factors that have meaning in the real world. Even to this day, there are many people around the world who look to their dreams as the inner voice of wisdom.

The website called "DREAM MOODS" is one of the top web search results when you google "dream interpretation". On this site, when you type in the key elements of objects, scenarios, emotions, or symbols, it gives you a list of meanings for each of them. But always remember that when you interpret a dream, do not take the given symbolisms or explanations flat out as it is presented. Each person will always have a different perspective to what the "reading" says, such is the same way with tarot card or daily horoscope readings.

There are also different types of dreams:

 ~
The 10 Dream Categories:
1. Psychological Healing Dreams – Although these dreams can be disturbing, they differ from nightmares in that they represent situations from the conscious past and daily living. These dreams will often occur at times of stress or when important decisions arise. These dreams are not negative as they help heal and overcome negative emotions.
2. Belief Dreams – Dreams have played a part in shaping religions and belief systems across the planet. From Jacob’s dreams of angels in the Bible, to Mohammed’s dream inspiring his spiritual mission in the Quran, to the “dreaming” of the Australian Aboriginals. Subsequently, dream interpretation and analysis has been an ingrained component of human kind.
3. Problem-Solving Dreams – These dreams are designed to impart a message to the sleeper that will aid them in overcoming a problem in their conscious life. It is said that very often such messages are delivered by a messenger whose identity is of utmost importance in discerning the message.
4. Physiological Dreams – Some dreams are said to be direct reflections of our needs in the conscious world. For example, a dream where the sleeper is shivering in the snow may simply mean an extra blanket is required.
5. Dreams of Daily Life – Dreams that incorporate familiar faces and places do not necessarily reveal hidden symbolic messages from the subconscious. They are simply reflections of everyday life. These types of dreams can incorporate activities going on whilst we sleep. For example, a phone ringing may initiate a dream about communicating with a family member.
6. Compensatory Dreams – Some dreams reveal the “dark side” of our personality. This does not infer evil; it refers to what Jung described as the shadow-self. The parts of ourselves we repress. An example might be a Nun who dreams she is promiscuous. Such dreams are designed to balance our personality and give vent to emotions we would not usually seek to experience.
7. Recurring Dreams – Repeating dreams are signs that we are not paying attention to the message given. As such, ignoring the messages can lead to unresolved issues in our waking lives. The intent of the subconscious in these instances is to find a dream which impacts upon the dreamer in the most beneficial way. The subconscious may have tried numerous other attempts before implementing the dream that will be repeated. The subconscious does this because it believes it has found a means to “break through”, thus, repetition is used.

8. Lucid Dreams – Such dreams have been the subject of much research. In these dreams the sleeper is actually aware that they are in a dream state. The dream is so vivid it seems real, although events and characters will often be greatly exaggerated. Due to the sleeper being aware of dreaming he or she will often manipulate the outcomes. As such, it is thought these are not messages of deep symbolic value.
9. Psychic Dreams – Some consider there to be no such thing as psychic, including Prophetic Dreams. These are explained away as merely the subconscious absorbing information from the conscious world and making assumptions about likely behaviour. When these behaviours are played out at a later date the conscious individual perceives they have predicted the future in a dream. However, this does not account for incidents where premonitions of unforseen natural disasters and death have taken place.
10. Nightmares – These are the most emotionally draining of all dreams. They represent major issues in our waking lives that the subconscious drives the sleeper to acknowledge through fear. A great portion of people however ignore the cues and engage in the terror. It must be remembered that all dreams, even nightmares, are designed by the subconscious to help us.

There are many ways to find insight or answers to which a dream represents itself to the dreamer. Through this way, dreams that are shared in a group essentially have social advice, same also with personal information about the dreamer. Therefore, when we share a dream in a group, we dream for the benefit of everyone.

Here are a few tips for starting a dream sharing group:

1.     Find a group of people with a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 5 for most favorable interactions.
2.     You need to assemble regularly and schedule a couple hours for the meet ups. Twice a month of sessions will keep a group strong.
3.     What happens in the dream circle stays in the dream circle.  Agree to secrecy so you can discuss what you learned but without naming names once you are out of the circle.
4.     Share your dreams the group.
5.     If you are the one who encourage the dream circle, you will act as the facilitator, but the dream group does not need a formal leader if everyone agrees to some rules about watching time, keeping safety, and giving everyone an opportunity to have their voice heard.  Still, many prefer to have a dream leader, even if that person changes every week.
6.     Get ready for one or two people in maximum to be able to share a dream in a one hour session.
7.     Give the dreamer the last word on what he has heard that night.  He does not need to say yes or no to possible dream meanings. Just let it drench in.  If he has something to reveal, let him share with the group.
8.     Begin the meeting with a short check-in about how your week has gone, with a focus on your emotional state.  This can alleviate some projections and builds security.
9.     Ask the dreamers who went last week and see if anything new came to them after they had time to process.  For introverts, people need more time to sink in the new ideas about their dreams.
10.  Look for persistent patterns of interpretation that may develop especially positive subject.

In wider perspective, you don’t need to be an expert to start a dream circle. All you need is a group that is eager and passionate about sharing dreams, others come with experience.

The Difference between Lucid Dreaming and Day Dreaming

The Difference between Lucid Dreaming and Day Dreaming

Could a lucid dream be nothing more than a daydream, while our bodies are asleep?
In a lucid dream you are aware while you are dreaming. you can take the dream where you want to go, or to someone you wish to see. When you day dream you are not actually aware of that you are dreaming. When a person is in the state of lucid dreaming, his body is asleep. When a person day dreams, his body is awake.

We can scientifically measure the difference with this following behaviour:

  • Rapid Eye Movement (REM) - During REM sleep, lucid dreams occur as you feel you eyeballs are flicking around. Day dreams happen when you are awake, when there is no REM. Your eyes can be moving or still, but none of these are dependable with the Rapid Eye Movements of sleep.

  • Brainwave Measurements - Brainwave frequencies in the Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma ranges while you are asleep that triggers lucid dreams. Day dreaming is naturally limited to a relaxed Alpha state while awake. Lucid dreaming enlightens us that consciousness is not a precise indication of wakefulness. So if you experience a false reality, it doesn't mean that you must be conscious, you are just simply having a day dream.

  • Muscle Tone Measurements - When lucid dreaming, you normally have no awareness of your body in bed. Your body lies in a state of what we call sleep paralysis to prevent you from the dreaming state. When day dreaming, you uphold partial or full awareness of the waking world, even that maybe you are imagining a different world in your mind. Your brain makes no effort to control the imaginary body with the so called motor neuron signals.

  • Day dreaming is fun. Studies show that people day dreams for 70-120 minutes every day. We fall in and out of day dreams, imagining our hopes and fears, reminiscing the past, envision the future and create fantasy illusions. We preserve awareness of the outside world and can stop and revive the fantasy if our attention is concentrating back to reality. Day dreams are somewhat elusive, so when you day dream of running across the street, the feeling is not really there rather it's an imagination.
