Looking To The Heavens: How The Stars Affect Our Lives

http://brainwavepowermusic.com/subscribe

Since time immemorial, mankind has looked up at the heavens at night, amazed at the unreachable lights we call the stars. And ever since, civilizations the world over believed, and continue to believe, that the stars influence our lives, whether directly or indirectly. But how is this possible, and is it really the case? Do stars traversing the heavens really affect our lives?

We the star children

Scientifically, everything that exists on our planet -the mobile phone you’re holding, the bed you sleep in, even the baby you hold in your arms, and the entire world as a whole- came from the stars. All the matter in our planet and in the cosmos came from the stars, and this is because the basic building blocks of existence make up the stars themselves.
So we are, fundamentally, are children of the stars (in this case, our sun) and are made up of star matter. And because, it is stated that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only transformed, we are also made up of the same energy as our sun and the stars above. This energy is perhaps the reason why we feel an affinity to the stars, and activates our deepest desires to figure out the answers to the questions of the universe whenever we look up at night.

How the stars affect us

Our universe is governed by four major forces, according to science: gravity, electromagnetism, nuclear-strong, and nuclear-weak. Both gravity and electromagnetic forces, which the stars greatly influence, can affect objects vast distances away. So if the stars do affect us, it will be because of either of these two, from a scientific standpoint that is.

But even before scientists came up with these four forces, ancient cultures have already theorized something very similar; the “aether”, a universal force that binds everything in the universe together through the emptiness of space, has been in the psyche of humanity since the dawn of mankind, predating even the Egyptian cosmological studies and principles. The aether theory has survived the millennia, and has taken different forms depending on the field of study, such as the cosmic consciousness ideology which states that there is a universal mind that connects all thinking beings together.

As stated earlier, everything is made up of, and share the same, energy as the one that came from the stars. Everything contains energy and it is this energy that permits anything in the universe from existing and happening! And our ancient ancestors noticed that certain events trigger when a star or constellation falls into a specific configuration, and that babies born under the same star events share similar characteristics, regardless if it is of different years, as long as it is of the same time period.

This is the foundation of astrology, which over the millennia has predicted events of a person’s life depending on their zodiac sign.

Are our fates fixed then?

Many people think that because our lives are influenced by the stars, that our destinies or fates are fixed.  After all, if the cosmic energy is that strong, are we not bound to what the universe has in store for us?

Simply put, no. While the stars may influence who we are, and how we live our lives, ultimately we are creatures with free will, and it is up to us if we are to use the gifts and traits the stars have imparted to us, or discard them. It is up to us to heed our inner voice’s calling, or to follow the mind instead of the heart.

The stars may affect us, but we are not ruled by them.

Enjoy a journey through the stars, right in your own home, by listening to our binaural beats track for deep sleep and relaxation, "Star Dusts."

Can Our Dreams Affect Our Reality?

http://brainwavepowermusic.com/subscribe
Many of us know and experience that what we experience in our reality affects what we dream about. For many, a wonderful or terrifying experience in reality can get replayed in various intensities in our dreams. But is the other way around possible? Do our dreams affect our reality, similar to how our reality affects our dreams?

As outside, so inside

In 2001, a neurologist named Patrick McNamara made a hypothesis based on the idea that social relationships experienced by people impact the dreams they experience, with 300 students categorized based on the level of their relationship security as well as if they felt alone or comfortable in their daily lives; the categories were secure or insecure, and the study found that students with an insecure level of social attachment had more dreams when they slept, and those dreams were dreary, traumatizing, and more intense than the dreams of the secure group.

The study supposed that it can be a cycle, with the social disparity causing traumatic dreams, which in turn affect social relationships even more. The same can be said for the secure group as well.

There was another research done regarding amnesiacs and those with involuntary mental and physical disorders, like Tourette’s. This study aimed at figuring out why the dreams of these patients were bizaare and odd. They came to the conclusion that these people keep memories in their subconscious, and during dream time, their minds were trying to access these memories and putting them back in place, but like puzzle pieces that don’t fit, produce an incoherent result.  And like the study above, this may affect the way these people live their lives in their reality; the insomniac struggling to sleep due to the conscious mind working on overdrive, which affects their waking mood, for instance.

From dreams to reality
One study that can be considered as one of the most potent pieces of evidence for dreams affecting reality was done in 2004 by the group of Mark Blagrove, Laura Farmer, and Elvira Williams. A study of around 140 students, who, for two weeks, filled up a questionnaire every morning as soon as they woke up, showed that there was a strong connection between the number of nightmares each subject had and how their well-being was during the day. Worse nightmares had worse evaluations and states of well-being, leading some to believe that their moods may possibly be affected by what they dream about.

Some skeptics claim that it is the other way around, that their nightmares might be the result of their mental state, and not vice-versa, but the proponents of the study propose that the correlation of nightmare to mood the following day cannot be ignored. It is a glimpse of how dreams affect our reality.

As of the moment, aside from these studies that were done and are ongoing, there is no solid evidence yet that states dreams can affect our reality. But the mood bad or good dreams bring, can be considered as such. So one  way for us to have a good reality, is to keep on having good dreams. And our binaural beats tracks for good dreams, like this one, can help with that.

The Quasar Pulse Lullaby track was inspired by the metaphysical notions of astral projections and lucid dreaming experiences by people who have traveled through the cosmos. This 4-part track contains brainwave entrainment frequencies that coincide with the different stages of sleep and REM. Prominent throughout the track are dream enhancing binaurals that will help your mind in exercising its imagination. Breathe deep. Relax. Close your eyes and set the scenario to which you would like to travel in your dreams. Focusing on the DreamScape will further help in attaining vivid dreams.

Plan Ahead: How To Use Lucid Dreams In Making Life Decisions

http://brainwavepowermusic.com/subscribe

There will be times when we might feel lost and confused about what to do with our lives. Oftentimes this happens when we feel like we need to make great changes, but cannot, due to fear or uncertainty. But there is a way for us to deal with these fears and actually take steps to find out what to do with our lives: by planning ahead with lucid dreaming!

Dream testing

Lucid dreaming allows the dreamer to be in control of their dreams, to do anything from practice life and work skills to traveling to distant lands to even experiencing living a different life. And these are the elements of lucid dreaming that can precisely help with mapping out a life plan: testing!

Any decision, situation, and scenario that can be thought of involved in the path of the life plan can be tested and experienced in lucid dreaming, and can give the dreamer an insight on to how to solve problems, go about tasks, and how it feels to succeed when milestones are gained. This can give the dreamer the chance to foresee their life plan if it is truly what they want, and make adjustments if necessary!

Plan ahead

The first thing to do when mapping out a life plan is to accept the fact that change might be needed, in varying degrees that may be uncomfortable, at first. We have a previous article detailing how to make changes for the better, which you may find here, that can help with this aspect of the planning process.

But in general, here are 5 easy steps in mapping out a life plan.
Learn the skills to unlock lucid dreaming fast and easywith the Lucid Dreaming Fast Track!
1.)    Understand your wants and needs and what makes you happy – what exactly do you want and need for your life? What can make your life happy? List down all aspects of it, your physical life, emotional life, spiritual life, and how they intertwine with one another. List everything down and be truthful to yourself, don’t hold back. After all, this is your life!

2.)    List down all your strengths and skills – what are you good at? What are you passionate about that you can back up with skills and talents? It is imperative to be honest with yourself about your own strengths and weaknesses, as it is these strengths that will bring you ever closer to your goals and keep you moving forward with your life plan.

3.)    Outline your solid goals, think two to three steps ahead – don’t just write “I want to be happy.” Consider steps 1 and 2, and list goals that will lead to other elements that will make you happy. For example, a man passionate about arts and is good at painting may have a goal that says “I want to create paintings that will sell in galleries and bring me money to buy a house in 5 years”, instead of just saying “I want to paint and earn.” And make sure to make these goals detailed once an initial outline is made. With the given example above, it can be made even more detailed by adding the names of the galleries where the artwork will be sold, what kind of paintings will be made, and what kind of house and how big is the goal.

4.)    Make sure your life plan addresses all your wants and goals – a life plan is not just about career, or passions, or monetary success. A life plan should address all the aspects of your life, in order to bring you true happiness.

5.)    Test out the plan in lucid dreams! – once you have your life plan mapped out, with all the steps you intend to take, you can regularly fine tune and tweak the plan by lucid dreaming it! For example, if your life plan includes something like “I want to be happy composing music and performing in bars around town for money and fulfillment”, you can test this scenario in your dreams and see how you will feel about it. Did it make you happy experiencing it? Keep it in the plan! Did it feel like it lacks something? Find out and add it to the plan. Was it not what you thought it would be? Then remove it or change the plan!

Do this process often and you can be confident that your plans can be more relied on. Just be sure you are lucid dreaming it properly! Use one of our binaural beats for lucid dreaming tracks to help you out.

Get Blissful Sleep with this full 8-hour music therapy track that uses the brainwave entrainment frequencies that are associated with the Five Stages of Sleep. Feel recharged and well-rested upon waking. This track is divided into multiple parts, wherein each segment follows the brainwave sleep cycles. Stage 1 has 4-7Hz which will help you relax and fall asleep. Stage 2 uses 12-16Hz which makes the physical body in deep slumber. This is where some REM and sleep paralysis occurs. Sleep Paralysis is simply your mind being wide awake all of a sudden while your body is still asleep. Stage 3 is your overall deep sleep and uses 0.5-4Hz. This is the dreamless stage of sleep. Stage 4 is the deepest sleep stage, where your energy replenishes itself both physically and mentally. Stage 5 is where most REMs and dreams occur. If you are woken up during this REM stage, you will be able to fall back into deep sleep easily. REM is very important to maintain a healthy brain. Listen with or without headphones and set your volume at a comfortable low setting.
