Is Lucid Dreaming Dangerous?



Lucid dreaming is one of the most amazing experiences one can ever have. We have discussed how to prepare for lucid dreaming, and what to expect when lucid dreaming, with the latter including an insight on possibly encountering sleep paralysis, and how to deal with it should it happen. Sleep paralysis can be a frightening experience, and while it does not pose any physical danger, many people are turned off from trying lucid dreaming because of it. In fact, many people are fearful of lucid dreaming because of all its alleged risks, some of which are even claimed to be fatal. But is lucid dreaming really dangerous?

No. From a physical and physiological standpoint, lucid dreaming is not dangerous.

In fact, some scientific experts have shown that lucid dreaming (more specifically, lucid nightmares) is a very good way to help people deal with their own fears, and is a good treatment for regular nightmares. Being in control of dreams gives people the capability to be more confident in facing their fears, because despite experiencing terror, the phrase “this is just a dream, nothing will hurt me” is ingrained in the dreamer, and will allow them to face their terrors in safety, thus conditioning their mind and having that carry over in their waking lives.

Having said that however, there are some concerns that people often raise and need to be addressed.

Here are 3 of the most concerning.

Lucid Dreaming Concerns

1.) Death in the dream – One of the most terrifying and controversial concerns is about what happens when you die in your lucid dream. Many claim that dying in a lucid dream causes you to die for real, or stay in a “lucid dream limbo” where you can be asleep for days, weeks, or even months, and if you eventually wake up, a long time would have passed and you wouldn’t even know it.

This is false. Dying can happen in dreams; have you not died in a non-lucid dream before, only to wake up in yet another dream, or wake up entirely? That’s precisely what will happen. Granted, dying in a lucid dream may truly be a terrifying experience, with everything being very vivid, but the dream itself will not physically kill you. Oftentimes, claims that people who have died in their sleep was due to dying in their dreams have turned out to be false as autopsies would often reveal other causes of death.

This is when the dreamer’s physical factors come into play. People with a pre-existing condition, especially heart problems, may suffer from side-effects, the same side-effects one may feel with actual traumatic fear when they are awake, like tightening of the chest or shortness of breath.  It is these conditions that may cause physical effects, not the dream itself.

There is also a concern about astral projection and what happens when the silver cord is cut, but this is an entirely different topic and will be discussed in a future article.

2.) Dissociation and blurring the lines of dreams and reality – Lucid dreaming can be very vivid, and can feel very real. Some people claim that doing lucid dreams blurs the lines between what’s real and what’s not, and may cause people to experience dissociation and being unable to live normally, having different expectations from the real world. This is a legitimate concern but one that is easily addressed by being well-informed and well-practiced.

The issue arises when people who have had no ability to remember their dreams before are all of a sudden thrust into remembering dreams due to lucid dreaming, and now have memories that they previously never had upon waking up.

One way to keep the distinction between dreams and reality is keeping a dream journal, which we discussed in a previous blog post. When a dreamer is unsure about what is real and what is not, consulting the dream journal can help. And in time, and with regulated exposure to lucid dreaming, distinguishing dreams from reality will be easier and easier.

But for the most part, people with an average, healthy mental constitution will almost always be able to distinguish memories from dreams and those from reality very easily.

3.) Dream addiction – Another concern is that people may end up wanting to just sleep their lives away and spend most of their time in lucid dreams. This is because of the amazing and fantastic possibilities of lucid dreaming, one that may be used as an “escape” from reality similar to how drugs are used by addicts.

There is a problem with this, because the body cannot always physically continuously sleep that long and that frequently. The body can only have a limited time of REM sleep (roughly around 100 minutes), which is something that most people do not exceed. Remember, dream sleep is different from regular sleep, and just because you will sleep for 8 hours a day, doesn’t mean you’ll dream for the same amount. And once your body has gotten its required sleep, it will be very hard to go back to sleep again, let alone go and get REM sleep again.

As with everything, the best way to deal with concerns about lucid dreaming is through proper information and proper training. Don’t plunge head on into lucid dreaming without studying it properly, and preparing yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically.

8 Reasons Why You Should Let Go Of People Who No Longer Play an Importance in Your Life




Sometimes, a decision is quite hard to face especially letting go of someone especially that person happens to be your friend, your lover, and anyone in between. It could really happen when you least expect it. Love is so superior because it has the ability to hurt us when it fails. Don't take the failure personally. Relationships fail every day, not always because there isn't enough love to go around.

Whatever the reason, learning how to move on from a person you loved deeply is an extremely difficult process, and it really takes time. Fortunately, it's done every day, and done with success. As we maturely grow, we are changing at different speeds and when it is time to go your separate ways, don’t ever hold on.

Here are some reasons why:


  • Let go because things are not the same anymore.  There is a saying, when you let go, you give yourself peace. Everything about holding on is torturous. You remorse, you feel ashamed and guilty, and you are opening the door of suffering. The only way to feel peace is to lessen the thoughts that threaten it. Letting go opens you up to new possibilities. When you are holding onto something, you are less open to giving and receiving anything else. You have to give to receive. Give love to get love, share joy to feel joy and it is only possible if you are open and responsive. It is hard to hold on to people in life, but always remember that you are fated to meet different people along your journey who will bring you different feelings of emotions.

  • Let go because the trust and loyalty isn’t there. Being loyal is a great quality. Don’t mix it up with oppression. Don’t take mistake willing to compromise the spirit of who you are and even your willingness to risk your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing, for loyalty and devotion. Loyalty, in the sense where we consistently communicate and establish our strong feelings of support, acknowledgement, care, trust, and respect. On both sides. Find someone with whom you can share your earnest secrets and you know that after walking away, his or her lips will remain tightly sealed. Find someone whose truthfulness will be unquestionable because his or her actions, rather than empty promises, bring you a peace of mind. 


  • Let go because you are unclear of where things stand. Being with those vague people or relationship is puzzling because you don’t know what you mean to the person, if anything at all. If the person can’t make you feel as though you are that important, think a hundred times why you are letting someone to treat you this way. Engage to those people who won’t take advantage your kindness simply because he or she knows you are not going to leave them.


  • Let go if the friendship or relationship is damaging to you. There comes a point when he or she would put you down at every opportunity. Seeing you laughing and smiling, he or she would say something to bring you down. Seeing you making progress, he or she would try to hold you back. This issue of toxic friendships isn’t unusual. We all have these people in our lives that leave us feeling miserable and drained of energy. We must not allow ourselves to feel stuck and used to being treated far less well than we deserve. Respect yourself enough to be able to walk away. 


  • Let go if you simply don’t see eye to eye. It is tough to make a relationship work if you can’t ever agree or see each other’s points of view. If the one thing you can agree on is that neither of you can agree, it might be time to walk away. In many friendships and relationships, people come together through unlikely chances, through their differences and lack of similarities. Therefore, it can work, but if you find that it’s a significant source of many of your arguments and tensions, end it now.


  • Let go if you’re the one fighting to make it work. It’s hard to let go of people because you become afraid to commit to any kind of certainty. However, letting go of people allows you to become stronger and braver. You will get past your fears of losing people. You’ll have to put yourself out there again and open yourself up to new people, but it will be okay. Find someone who makes you feel worthwhile and worthy. Find someone who fights to have you in his or her life. Find someone who knows how lucky he or she is to have you. Find someone who accepts everything you have done and will do. Don’t waste your time on anything less.


  • Let go if he or she doesn’t encourage you or believe in you. If you find that your relationship isn’t providing you with support, reflect on what the person is providing. You deserve someone who will be there to encourage you throughout your journey and believe in you maybe even more than you believe in yourself. If you choose to still hang around with bad friends, you can take comfort in the fact that they do make excellent teachers. That’s why it’s so important to forgive, love, and move on when you have to: We all deserve to be happy. We have the power to make it happen.


  • Let go if the relationship isn’t bringing you what you want and need. You’ll become more independent. Don’t ever allow someone to make you feel needy for wanting someone who will love, care and support you, someone who will listen and give you insightful advice, someone who wants the same things, someone you can trust and will be loyal to you, someone who believes so strongly in you and your capabilities. Just someone who makes you feel like you’re someone. You thought that you needed these people around. You relied and depended on them when you could. However, it’s time to let them go. It’s hard but you should do it because you will learn to stand on your own two feet. They were there to help you learn, but now you have to learn self-independence.


In this article, you will learn that it’s really a must to find friends that accept you and show good intentions. No matter who you meet, be yourself. In order for someone to be loved, they have to give their all to someone else. They have to be willing to accept their flaws, present them to their partner, and know that their partner will accept them too.

How To Deal With Negative People




A person is toxic to your health if his or her behavior makes you feel bad on a regular basis. Clearly, there are exceptions to this guideline. For example, if a close friend or family member shares a concern about your behavior with a spirit of wanting to improve your relationship, you may feel bad and your sense of emotional well-being may take a temporary hit, but it doesn't make sense to label such friends or family members as being toxic.

Think of this situation………


You're in the best of moods and the day feels just great. Suddenly you feel sapped of energy and your spirits have been diminished. What is the source of your depression? You've just encountered someone who has a bad attitude and it has cast a spell over your own mood. While it's a personal choice to seek to bounce the negative moods of others, it's not always that easy because emotions are contagious and we're involuntarily empathizes with others around us and to tune into their emotions. 

Unfortunately, it is easy to feel like toxic people are almost everywhere in your life. Your toxic reaction to these people can easily cast a spell on your mood. Thus, you may give way to anger, sadness and complaints. You should take charge of defending yourself and do something to get rid of discomfort caused by the time spent with people who are constantly swallowing your life energy. It’s necessary to find all possible ways to avoid negative people, because you may lose the chance to live happily and enjoy life. If you let their negativity get to you, you’ll have a risk to lose your optimistic outlook. They can even grind down your inner world and your sense of self-worth.


Read these few pieces of advice on how to protect yourself from people that is "toxic-to-your-health":


Talk about something positive. If you are talking to a toxic person then you’d better take an initiative to lead the conversation. Try to avoid topics which can make the conversation tensed and unpleasant. Try to talk about positive things to lighten the mood of the whole company. It may take you some time to develop the skill to lead a pleasant conversation under the emotional pressure of toxic people. But, you’ll be able to handle the situation and stay positive.


Limit your exposure. Think of ways to limit the time you spend with toxic people. Can you physically shift away from them? Can you arrange your day so that your schedule doesn’t meet theirs? For example, if you live with a toxic person, maybe you can go to a library when they come back from work; or maybe you can go to sleep early if they go to bed late. This will buy you easy and light hours of your existence.


“But I’ve known him for ages” or “I can’t just severe our friendship” scenario. The more you value yourself, the less time you spend with people who don’t value you. It’s time to raise your self-esteem. If you willingly choose to spend time with toxic people, your self-esteem is low and deep within you think you deserve such treatment. Raise your self-esteem and excuses to remain with toxic people will disappear.


Identify the toxic personality types. Toxic people make you feel worse than when you started talking to them. They bring your energy level down. We all have our down days, and each of us is prone to the blues now and then. However, when it comes to toxic people, the blues appear to be a permanent state of being and feeling down, glum, angry, attention seekers, etc. It becomes a primary personality trait rather than a temporary state of mind.


Be familiar with the company you keep. Analyze friendships, family relationships, working colleagues and decide objectively just how healthy these people are in terms of your overall well-being and composure. Do they bring out the best in you or do you serve as a sponge for all their problems and miseries? If the latter is the case, for your own sanity and well-being, let them go. This might be really hard initially because of the expectations and sense of obligation that builds up in relationships but staying with people who lead you into constant misery isn't going to be rewarded, so don't subject yourself to it.


Don’t deal with blamers. When dealing with blamers, shift the perspective. While the toxic personality wants another person to take the blame for a situation, stay calm and keep insisting that the problem be solved instead of discussing whose fault it is. Seeking to blame someone keeps things static, and stuck in time, and a solution won't be found because it has been lost from sight and the blamer doesn't want to take responsibility for improving their own situation anyway. Stick to the facts and point out what needs to be done to fix a problem. If they become hot-headed or violent, remove yourself from them and allow them the space to calm down.


Distance yourself. When you delete toxic people from your environment it becomes a lot easier to breathe.  If the circumstances warrant it, leave these people behind and move on when you must. Disengage yourself from their company politely by minimizing contact until a healthy distance can be maintained. You need this time to ponder and reflect on saving and preserving yourself, drawing on the optimism, hope and positive energy you have within.  Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough!  Letting go of toxic people doesn’t mean you hate them, or that you wish them harm; it simply means you care about your own well-being. This is the most obvious and best way to deal with toxic people because no matter how much you try to protect yourself, sometimes they still find a way to do damage.


Realize your worth. You need to feel as if you’re worthy of achieving your goals and changing into the person you want to be. Letting go of any negativity in your life will help you get there faster. You’ve got to be committed to doing this for yourself otherwise your guilt for letting go of certain relationships will keep you in the same place. Make the choice and decide that it’s time you committed to yourself, your goals, and your dreams and you won’t let anything stop or slow you down from getting there.


Protect yourself. Take up practices that help to ground you. Some things that might help you include meditation, yoga, reflection in nature, martial arts, endurance sports, a hobby that fulfills a passion, etc. Find something that calms and centers you and to which you can retreat when you need to re-energize yourself.


Respect yourself. The more you value yourself, the less time you spend with people who don’t value you. It’s time to raise your self-esteem. If you willingly choose to spend time with toxic people, your self-esteem is low and deep within you think you deserve such treatment. Raise your self-esteem and excuses to remain with toxic people will disappear.




Hope these thoughts serve as a reminder that we all have the capacity to display behavior that can be toxic to others. Staying mindful of this fact can only help to minimize the potential that we have to bring others down. To become the master of your life, firstly you need to master your Self. Strengthen the inner core to get in control of your emotions, finances, relationships and all aspects of life.

How to Get High. No Drugs Needed.


Did this article's title grab your attention? Good! We've listed below some ways for you to get "high" without the consumption of dangerous and addictive drugs. Think it's impossible? Think again. A lot of you don't even know that you are already feeling that natural high on a daily basis.

We take things for granted a lot, especially the little things that we do every day. Due to the high demands of our lifestyles, be it from work or school, or society, we find ourselves in a rush to get things done. This leaves us with feelings of stress, exhaustion and fatigue. What we end up with during our free time would be to catch up on our favorite TV shows, or play computer games, or go out to town for a night of drinking or splurging. Work hard, party harder, right?

Well, that kind of routine makes a person look at the world as a mundane experience. Deep inside you wish for some kind of other excitement to fill your soul. And this is where we will talk about the different ways you can get that Natural High and Raise your Vibration.


1. Meditate Daily 
You don't need to be a master of meditation. The simple, basic forms of meditation done on a daily basis will give you wondrous results. The simplest form of meditation is for you to find a quiet spot, sit in a comfortable position, relax and close your eyes. Start by being aware of your surroundings. Of that itch on your leg. Be aware of your body and of your breathing. Get yourself used to taking in deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. For simple meditations, you don't need to do it for a long time. Quieting your mind for at least five minutes is good. You can also take this opportunity to cleanse and activate your energy hotspots, or Chakras, in your body.



Meditation will lower your blood pressure, relieves you from stress and tension, and releases the Alpha brainwave pattern which correlates to healing, emotional stability and overall balance. Once you regularize meditation into your daily life, you will notice some positive changes within and around you. And once you acknowledge them, you will definitely feel a different kind of high. You will feel being High on Life.



2. Pranayama or Deep Breathing 
Prāṇāyāma is a Sanskrit word meaning the extension of the breath (known as prāṇa) or the extension of the life force. Its origins can be traced to ancient India, and is mostly practiced in yoga. Doing a conscious, deeper intake of oxygen repeated multiple times in one sitting will give you a natural high and will greatly expand the consciousness and awareness. Physically, you will feel light-headed, and your heart rate might speed up a little bit. These are just normal reactions due to the fact that this is all new to your body and much different than our regular automatic breathing pattern. The basic method of the pranayama is to breathe in deep through the nose, holding it for a few counts and then exhaling slowly out through the mouth. Be aware of your diaphragm as you do this. Deep breathing should not be limited to the chest only.

Just as a side-note, I have a friend who had been doing yoga, and during their pranayama session he swore he felt and saw, through closed eyes, a huge difference happening within him. He was aware of these vibrations all around him and had seen vibrant color spectrums and unexplainable visuals. But his overall sensation was of ecstasy, the natural kind. It was highly probable that his pineal gland had opened, or that the natural DMT in his body came out stronger as compared to before.


3. Altered States of Mind through Binaural Beats and other brainwave entrainments
Binaural beats is slowly becoming known to more and more people nowadays. Scientifically, it has been proven that certain brainwave frequencies are connected to a specific state of mind, emotion or physical attribute. Some physical and emotional sensations you will feel while listening to a binaural beat track would be tingling sensations on the head and the skin, vibrations that flow up and down your body, feeling of bliss and even a floating sensations. The Kama Sutra, or other tantric practices should actually be studied and understood further by the rest of the sexually-active society. They are not just mere sexual positions. They have an underlying spiritual connection about them. The word Tantra is Sanskrit for "woven together". This is the sexual union of weaving man, woman and the divine together within the physical and the spiritual planes. It is such a delicate, important and sacred practice to become one with God.





5. The 33 Spinning Technique
Honestly, this is one of the new things we've learned about recently, as we do our daily research on how to further raise our vibrations and be connected with everything around us. The 33 Spinning technique can basically help your DNA, pineal gland, and vibratory energy fields, and it is something very easy to do. You start off by selecting your base point, could be a chair or a painting on the wall. This will be your count-clicker. Stretch out your arms and using your thumb as your main focal point, start spinning in a clockwise direction, or to your right. Spin slowly at first until after much practice you'll be able to let go and spin yourself into bliss while maintaing balance. After 33 counts, stop by steadying your feet firmly on the ground, lock your knees and do your best to stand still. Focus your eyes at something in the distance. This simple exercise, if done daily, will raise your spiritual awareness and vibration, leaving you feeling high and happy.



Other ways for you to get that natural high are:


Do Things That You Enjoy like doing physical exercise, which will produce endorphins, like running or jogging, or how about dancing? Have you ever tried just dancing without pattern or not even following steps? Just loosen yourself up and dance like crazy. Soon enough you will feel like you are in a trance-like state, and this is the great area to be in when your mind is reaching an altered state.

For the creatives out there, like music lovers or musicians, listening or creating music will always have this amazing medicine for the soul. Even singing, especially those who can do the head-tones, will feel a rush from their head all the way down to their toes.


And for those who would like to start off at an easy pace, you can achieve a good, natural high by eating dark chocolate, laugh a lot whole-heartedly, and look at the world through the eyes of a child, grasping the magic and wonder from mother nature.

While we were growing up, my father would encourage us to go out to the garden barefoot. He kept reminding us that there is a natural source of energy from the ground. Of course as kids, running around without shoes or slippers was a fun thing. The old man, who sat on a bench by the hotel's front lawn, was being accompanied by his daughter and her husband. He looked very weak and his eyes looked dazed from time to time. My father noticed the handsome cane he kept by his side, and the tennis shoes he wore, and being the friendly chatter that he is, struck a conversation starting off by admiring the walking stick. He learned that the old man was just six years older than my 62-year old dad and according to the daughter, the man wasn't sick or anything, but through the past couple of years his demeanor drastically changed. My father sat down next to him and offered advise about receiving natural ion energy from the earth. The young husband and wife held a curious interest, but there was a different sparkle in the old man's eyes, as my father noticed.

The old man told him that he grew up and worked in a farm and that he did remember feeling different when he'd walk his fields barefooted. He started to complain about the hectic, compressed feeling about living in the city and how the seemingly fast-paced attitude of it all made him feel very tired all the time.

Their conversation was interrupted when my father saw his friend inside the lobby. He excused himself and walked in. A few minutes later as he and his friend came out of the lobby, he saw the old man, the daughter and her husband about to board a van. The old man went in first, and my father noticed a very odd thing.

He had no shoes on.

My dad approached them to say goodbye, and the old man looked at him with a smile.

He told my father that he reminded him of something very important, which he had forgotten about for decades. There was a different aura about him. There was a mix of excitement, happiness and real-time presence. The dazed look was gone, overridden by something else. Like Delight.

The daughter came over to explain how excited her father suddenly seemed to be as he weirdly took off his tennis shoes and handed them over to the son-in-law. He told her he'd be walking barefoot in their garden when they get home.

I am always reminded of this story whenever I feel myself feeling stuck in a rut. I am reminded to kick off my shoes and let the natural flow of earth's energy seep in me. For some reason, I would always feel refreshed.

The Earth has a natural flow of electrons that not many know are beneficial to our health. Why do you think other people would advise to stay connected to nature?

The atoms in our body are comprised of positively charged protons, negatively charged electrons, and neurons, and electricity flows through them, making our body electrically charged and enabling us to be conductors of energy. The Earth's surface is electrically conductive and maintains a negative charge with its free electron supply.

As reported in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health:
"Mounting evidence suggests that the Earth's negative potential can create a stable internal bioelectrical environment for the normal functioning of all body systems. Moreover, oscillations of the intensity of the Earth's potential may be important for setting the biological clocks regulating diurnal body rhythms, such as cortisol secretion."
Letting the soles of your feet be in contact with the earth and letting our body absorb the electrons, this is also known as grounding. You will often come across this term while searching for meditation videos or spiritual growth help tips. Grounding offers us a way to openly be one with the natural flow of things. Grounding will provide us with health benefits such as reduced headaches, hormonal balance, reduced fatigue, more energy, feeling revitalized and normalizes the body’s biological rhythms to name a few.

Water is an essential factor for the natural healing process that our body goes through every minute of every day. When we are well hydrated, it is easy for electricity to conduct and flow, making grounding easier to achieve.

Color and Sound Healing: Amplifying Our Senses

The people behind Brainwave Power Music were recently engaged in a part of a project collaboration with a group called Aesthetics & Therapeutics Lab, consisting of art therapist Dr. Marina Masic and media artist Jakob LeBaron Dwight, who formed to initiate experiments and installations in art and healing.

This project collaboration was held last June 2014 and the Aesthetics & Therapeutics Lab had installed their first immersive multisensory environment in the Vortex Immersion Media Dome in Los Angeles, as part of the group immersive Art exhibition MORPHOS.

What are MultiSensory Environments? 
"Multi-Sensory Environments (MSE's) are artificial or enriched environments that can be configured to interface with any individual level of abilities. MSE is a “dynamic interactive process utilizing the natural process of sensory stimulation and feedback analysis from the environment.” It is a designed space to interact with a person’s ‘Sensory diet’ by utilizing Controlled Sensory Input (CSI). MSE's are devoted to all of the senses; different pieces of equipment provide visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive sensory inputs."

Aesthetics & Therapeutics Lab conceived four modules designed to investigate different areas of functioning using Multi Sensory Environments:
  • Color Fields and Changes
  • Light and Sound Environments (LSE)
  • Perception: Use of Abstract Paintings for Joint Attending and Interactivity
  • Spa & Dream Space Consciousness 

Our own music was used in their Light and Sound Environment (LSE) installation that involved light and sound therapy. The main concept for this was to stimulate healing and consciousness through the different spectrums of color, light, as well as audio and motion perceptions. Their target usage were for the treatment of Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, depression, OCD, anxiety, insomnia, circadian rhythm disorder, Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Learning and Communication Disorders.
The Project Method of the LIGHT & SOUND ENVIRONMENTS module:
LSE is a module ATL has been working on composed of Immersive Spatial Light and Sound tracking in the environment. Applying the principles of Phototherapy, Light is a beneficial communication technology that can be adapted for healing. The principle of Sound is a second major component to this module.  By utilizing surround sound speakers in the dome Environment, as well as Binaural beats, a subtle effect of sound integrates in a 3 Dimensional experience.  Incorporating MSE principles of directing the viewer’s engagement to follow various ambient sounds in different space works to promote spatialization awareness and a greater sense of proprioception.

Additionally, Binaural Beats and isochronic tones for brainwave entrainment will also be integrated to explore effects of vibratory technology.

We do believe that color and sound plays an important role in the balancing and healing of our individual mind and bodies. Such with interior decorators who recommend certain color spectrums for different types of rooms to correctly exert the needed mood, sound offers a similar auditory healing aspect, and we were very excited to be a part of this project.

We hope that more artists, such as Marina and Jakob, will continue to flourish in their arts and exhibitions, and hopefully awaken and engage more audiences about the mysterious healing aspects of lights and sound as we, ourselves, continue to create more sound therapy music using binaural beats and isochronic tones and provide everyone the type of auditory healing that would resonate well with them.

Earth Resonances and Cosmic Frequencies: Do they really affect us?

At Brainwave Power Music, we don't just deal with music creation, we also do research study on the different effects of frequency and vibration, as we are always hopeful to awaken everyone to open their minds in coming to understand and gain more knowledge about what we can benefit from these types of vibratory audio perceptions.

There are on-going studies in the scientific circle on how sound seemed to have been used as healing tool elements during ancient times. There are researches still being sought after on the mysterious effects of certain Earth-bound and cosmic frequencies emit that apparently influence human behavior.

Why is that? What have we not come to understand about our own planet and of the celestial satellites high above? Do the pyramids of Giza hold such a sound-healing secret knowledge? Do solar flares affect the mindset and emotional balance of human beings?

Before anything else, this article is written with the purpose of sharing the research done of the topics at hand, and to voice out the questions, theories and hypothesis that are boggling, not just our minds, but the many as well. What we aim here is to open the door for you in further understanding what is still regarded as mysterious connections of our Earth and other cosmic frequencies to us, individually.

Let us start by understanding a little bit more about the natural frequencies around our own little blue terrestrial sphere, The Earth.

Earth constantly emits different frequency and electrical waves. Through magnetic field sensors, we are able to pick up these ultra-low electromagnetic frequency ranges that are then interpreted into a more audible sound for our human ears to perceive. The Earth is surrounded by multiple frequency waves that, in turn, creates our own Earth Song.

A NASA spacecraft had beamed back a beautiful song sung by our own planet. "It's called chorus," explains Craig Kletzing of the University of Iowa. "This is one of the clearest examples we've ever heard."
Chorus is an electromagnetic phenomenon caused by plasma waves in Earth's radiation belts and is made of radio waves that oscillate at acoustic frequencies, between 0 and 10 kHz.

The Earth Resonance is also known as Schumann Resonances, named after the German physicist Winfried Schumann who first discovered them in 1952. The lowest-frequency mode of the Schumann resonance is at a frequency of approximately 7.83, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39 and 45 Hz. Schumann resonances also have gone beyond the boundaries of physics, into medicine, where it has raised interest in the interactions between planetary rhythms and human health and behavior. Imagine the possibilities if mankind further understood these correlations. Imagine what we can advance to in the medical and psychological arena.

In one of our original music tracks, we've embedded the Schumann Resonance of 7.83Hz to the binaural beats. The aim was to provide a soothing sound and to give the effects of relaxation as well as a background accompaniment for meditating.



"Although the existence of the Schumann resonances is an established scientific fact, their presence and how these important planetary electromagnetic standing waves act as a background frequency that can influence biological oscillators such as the heart and brain are not generally well known. When Schumann first published his research the similarity of the 7.8-hertz earth resonance and the rhythms of human brainwaves was quickly realized. Herbert König, who became Schumann’s successor at Munich University, later demonstrated a correlation between Schumann resonances and brain rhythms. Numerous studies conducted by the Halberg Chronobiology Center at the University of Minnesota and other scientific studies have since shown that there are important links between solar, Schumann and geomagnetic rhythms and a wide range of human and animal health and wellness indicators. Even historical events like war, social unrest, military events and acts of terrorism can be correlated with the solar cycles."

In relation to this, the other planets in our solar system also have their own distinct sounds that were picked up and recorded by NASA's Voyager. In 1989, Dr. Jeffrey D. Thompson, D.C., B.F.A. was approached by representatives working with NASA and JPL to explore a series of powerful recordings which the Voyager I & II Spacecraft had sent back from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These recordings seemed to be having a profound effect on the scientists and researchers who were exposed to them. Dr. Thompson was approached as an expert in the field of sound and healing, and especially in his work with "Primordial Sounds.”  Primordial sounds are human body sounds and nature sounds formatted in special ways to cause a deep response in the subconscious mind.  These are extremely useful in all levels of healing. Could the space sounds actually be Primordial Sounds, also – from outer space but strangely familiar to us?

The "Symphonies Of The Planets 1: NASA Voyager Recordings Soundtrack" album was then released Oct 23, 1992, giving us a sensational auditory experience of what space sounds like. According to other research websites that relate to astrology, our neighbors in the solar system have their own distinct orbit frequency that can be related to various human behavioral effects.

The Sun radiates its own frequency that resonates with our own vibration. The sun represents life, personality, and goals. We have our own sun within our body, the solar plexus chakra. As we continue to delve upon the frequencies emitted from cosmic elements, another very interesting account is the behavioral effect of solar flares. 

Interesting... as I write this article, I just found out this bit of news:

Solar Activity Report from Spaceweather.com for August 27, 2014:

MINOR STORM WARNING: NOAA forecasters estimate a 15%-20% chance of polar geomagnetic storms on Aug. 26-27 in response to an incoming CME. Launched on Aug 22nd, the storm cloud is a relatively slow-moving one, so strong storms are not likely. Even so, Arctic sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

How timely.

Could the sudden loss of internet connection and awry cellphone calls that can't push through this afternoon be caused by the solar flare that's coming in today? Hmmm... maybe, or maybe not since it is reported that the incoming solar storm is not too powerful. But then again, the satellites are out there in space, getting the hits first.

Anyway, a solar flare is a magnetic storm from the Sun, often times erupting and ejecting from the gaseous surface and releasing massive volumes of energy particles. In numerous research readings, there appears to be a connection with solar flares and human behavior, most especially if the CME is labeled as an "X-class".

Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, tornadoes, and wind storms appear to occur after intense solar activity on the sun. In Heather Carlini C.M.Ht's website, she writes an updated account about about how "Geomagnetic Activity on the Sun Influences our Thoughts".
An excerpt from her post:
"Solar activity is known to affect human consciousness. Solar flares affect the Central Nervous System (stomach lining), all brain activity (including equilibrium), along with human behaviour and all psycho-physiological (mental-emotional-physical) response.  Solar flares can cause us to be nervous, anxiousness, worrisome, jittery, dizzy, shaky, irritable, lethargic, exhausted, have short term memory problems and heart palpitations, nauseous, queasy, and to have prolonged head pressure and headaches. Do you have any of the above lately? Scientists don't seem to be addressing this, but we all know it is  genuine as we are experiencing it first hand."

Have you begun to notice these, too? If we are indeed directly affected, which I personally believe we are, then this only shows how much more we need to understand about everything around us. Everything has its own vibration, its own frequency; its own energy. The capabilities of animals compared to the limits of us humans can already show us proof that there is a part of our system that has a weak recognition to the unseen forces around us, and we are all oblivious to them, leaving us to believe we are senseless in being connected to all that is around us.

Maybe if we become more aware about these things we might be able to assess what goes on in our daily life, perhaps even understand ourselves even better.
