4 Kinds Of Meditation That Will Bring Your Business To The Next Level

Meditation has many different benefits for business and work, as we have discussed in a previous blog post: it trains the mind to be focused and clear of distractions, makes it more goal oriented, and so on. Meditation benefits businesses so much that giants like Google have made it part of their operations. But what kind of meditation should you use for yourself, for your work, your employees, or your business? Below are 4 of the best kinds of meditation for businesses that you can choose from.

1.) Zen Meditation - tracing its roots in the Chinese Zen Buddhist tradition and all the way back to Indian monk Bodhidharma, Zen Meditation is a very deep, somber kind of meditation whose aim is to keep the mind empty of thought. It relies heavily on keeping a proper posture as a way of helping the person concentrate, and not be distracted by many different things.

Steps:

  •  Find a place where you can sit, either on the floor over a mat, pillow, or some other cushion in a crossed-leg position, or on a nice comfortable chair with an upright backrest. Those who want to do this in the more traditional manner can go in a lotus or half lotus position, although this can be quite a challenge for beginners.
  • It is important that the back is kept upright and straight, with the eyes focused on the ground in front of you (around 3-4 feet on the floor) and the mouth completely closed, breathing mostly through the nose.
  • Focus on the breathing, slow, steady inhales and exhales that are of the same pace all the way. If this is difficult to do without any distractions, find a point on the floor where your eyes can focus, and keep looking at it as you breathe. Try to drown out everything else, be as empty and steady as you can, and just “be”.
2.) Mantra Meditation – Often used in Hindu tradition, a mantra may be a syllable, word, or in some cases, phrase, although phrases are only often used when trying to use the mantra as a form of affirmation. The mantra is then the focus of the meditation, feeling the vibration of the syllable or word when pronounced, and absorbing its meaning in the process.

This kind of meditation is especially useful for minds that are full of random thoughts, doubts, or full of high speed activity. This is because consistently pronouncing the mantra takes  effort, and in doing so, pulls the mind away from whatever is bothering it.

Steps:
  • Like Zen, find a spot where you can sit comfortably, usually on the floor in a crossed-leg position. Make sure that your spine is erect from the hips to the nape of the head.
  • Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and pronounce the mantra. The pronunciation is usually as long as your slow exhale (in fact the mantra is often a substitute for an exhale) and can be done consistently over a set period of time.
  • The pronunciation of the mantra is from deep inside the body, and will cause mental and physical vibrations. Be aware and absorb the vibrations as they happen.

3.) Qigong (Chi kung) Meditation – defined literally as “life energy cultivation”, Qigong meditation is one that integrates mind and body. Qigong as a whole can be used for a number of things, from martial arts to simple exercises, but is also used in meditation, and focuses on a variety of breathing and muscle control techniques. We will discuss the exact details of Qigong Meditation in a future discussion, but in general, Qigong focuses on the “Qi”, or “chi” as it is known in the West, the vital energy.

Qigong Meditation is perfect for those who seek both a mental and physical kind of meditation, as it can be integrated in different movements should the need arise.

Steps:
  • Sit in any comfortable position, although the traditional meditative position is the best.
  • Relax and calm not just your mind, but your body. Feel your muscles relax, your internal organs slow down, and your nerves be less tense. Regulate the breathing to make it slower, deeper, longer, and softer.
  • Internalize and focus on the body’s center of gravity, called the “lower dantien”, and is located around 2 inches below the navel. Keep focusing to gather vital qi into it. The dantien is the natural gathering place of vital energy, and focusing on it is the key to build qi there.
  • Visualize and then feel the qi coursing through your body, rejuvenating it along with your mind.

4.) Self-investigative Meditation – A form of meditation tracing its roots in old Hindu traditions, Self-Investigative or Self-Enquiry meditation seeks to uncover who a person truly is, from the inside. The goal is to learn the “True Self”, which can only be found by internalizing and getting answers from the inner self.

This is a good form of meditation for professionals who are at an impasse with their careers, whether due to self-doubt, or due to a desire that they are not sure of, as it answers the very fundamental question, “Who Am I?”

Steps:
  • Start by following the basic setup from the previous meditation styles: sitting properly, controlled breathing, and emptying the mind.
  • But instead of a mantra, or breathing, or qi, focus on internally asking the question, “Who Am I?” or the phrase “I Am…” This will be your focal point.
  • Ignore any impulse to verbally answer or affirm these. Simply use the phrases as an anchor deep within, and repeatedly ask or say it until the True Self answers back.
  • If there is even a slight feeling of bias from the answer, discard it, and ask again. You will know when the answers are revealed by the True Self when it feels unconnected to any concept or bias, when it is beyond any intellectual, financial, practical, and emotional pursuits, and is simply a pure feeling of being one with the True Self. This may take a  lot of tries, as it seeks to answer a very introspective question, but the process itself already yields the benefits of meditation.

These are the 4 best kinds of meditation for business, as each one seeks to tackle each of the fundamental issues of business. To aid in your meditation, binaural beats tracks can be used, such as this binaural beats track for meditation and success in attracting money here:

Dream Desires: Lucid Dream Sex

Warning: the following post may be of a sensitive nature. Reader’s discretion is advised.

We have discussed in previous blog posts how to have lucid dreams, and what you can do in lucid dreams. But one topic we have not touched on yet is the “why”, because many people will have different reasons why they want to have lucid dreams. But one prevailing reason for wanting to learn to lucid dream, is the ability to fulfill one’s ultimate fantasy: to be with their dream partner via lucid dream sex.

What is lucid dream sex?

As the name implies, lucid dream sex is having sex while in a lucid dream. The vivid nature of lucid dreams, coupled with the dreamer’s ability to control the dream scene, is what makes lucid dream sex lucrative to beginners or curious people who want try lucid dreaming. How can it not be, after all? It is a prospect most people will have at one point or another, to be able to be intimate with a long-time crush, a celebrity, an ex-lover, and so on, without having the face the hardships (or consequences) in doing so in the real world.

And it can be as real as it gets. Scientific studies have shown that the sexual act itself and the orgasm that follows in lucid dream sex, most of the time also include the physical responses as if it was done in real life. Increased heart rate, muscular contractions, and even physical orgasms for both men and women. This is similar to wet dreams that pubescent teens go through during puberty.

With that said, how can anyone not want to try lucid dreaming? Right?

Well, the truth of the matter is, it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Intimacy and connection

One thing that people misunderstand about lucid dreaming is the prospect of “doing whatever I want!” And while technically this can be true for many other aspects of lucid dreaming, it is not the case when it comes to interacting with characters in the dream. Just as people are not objects to be manipulated outside in the real world, so too are dream characters not there simply for use for the dreamer. There have been many cases wherein the dreamer, despite being truly lucid, at best gets rejected by the dream characters constantly, or at worst, transforms into someone mad, aggressive, and even looks terrifying and monstrous. In fact, horrible character transformations are a common occurrence in lucid dream sex, and it’s not because the dreamer is not lucid dreaming correctly.

It’s because when it comes to lucid dream sex, an intimate connection has to be present first, just like how it is with most sex in real life. Even a one-night stand starts with a spark, a common connection between the two participants, before it happens. It is a basic human trait to desire a connection of some sort. But because many people can easily disregard this valuable part of the sexual experience, what with being exposed to modern culture’s idea of being able to treat sex lightly and often the objectification of sexual partners, this is often brought into the dream which causes the lucid dream sex experience to fail.  Unless of course, the dream partner ends up as a mindless automaton (which can happen) who will simply do as you please, in which case, no connections are needed. But for the most part, this isn’t the case.

Make a connection. This is the key in initiating proper lucid dream sex. There are several ways to do this, which are, coincidentally, very similar to how one can make a connection in the real world.

  1. Talk – When you see your desired sexual partner in your dream, don’t just suddenly grab them and try to go straight to the act. Talk to them first. Remember that whoever that partner is, they are projections of how you know and see that person, from your own subconscious, and as such their motivations in that dream may not always be to have sex with you. Talking to them, learning about them, and in turn them learning about you, helps create that connection necessary.
  2. Keep eye contact – Just like how keeping eye contact in real life can show sincerity and being truthful, so too in the dream world. Eye contact is a very powerful tool, and doing so can greatly increase the chances that your partner will give consent and not suddenly transform into a hideous beast.
  3. Go through the motions – Whatever sexual act you’re aiming for in your dream, don’t rush things. Let go and go through the motions. Why rush things when you can enjoy the experience fully, right? Intimate acts like kissing, holding each other in an embrace, and so on, may be initiated by yourself or your partner prior to having sex itself, so this is part of the process. As well, rushing beyond what your sexual partner is preprogrammed to be comfortable with may turn the experience sour, and result in them rejecting you mid act or the aforementioned terrifying transformation.

Remember that lucid dream sex is a chance for you to explore your desires safely and in the confines of your own mind, so don’t be afraid to spend the time and experiment. But as with anything, practice is key, and if something goes wrong or not to your liking, just remember that you are in control, and can simply choose to wake up from the lucid dream experience.

Exploring Sex and Spirit through Lucid Dreaming

Exploring Sex and Spirit through Lucid Dreaming

Imagine that while dreaming you actually apprehend that you are able to take mindful control over what is happening in your dreams, all of that while falling asleep. This is a sensation called LUCID DREAMING. An enormously intense and delightful dream state, in which you can make your every wish come true!

Vivid dream involvements are many times related with dreams about sex and sexuality. Erotic dreams play an essential role in the history, dream theory, and myths. If you have experienced lucid dreams, it will take you to the next level of excitement. Through improving the vividness and clarity of dreams, lucid dreaming can boost intense sexual dreams, and affectedly improves your dream experiences.

We dream because of our extreme activity that is constantly going on in our hidden minds and since sex is one of the most influential and exciting of all human drives, it's not so shocking that many dreams have a strong sexual content. If we have profound needs to do certain things, they are more likely to come out in our dreams where our consciences cannot prevent them happening while we are sleeping.

A wet dream happens to most guys and occurs when you have a sexually arousing dream during sleep, and your body releases semen through ejaculation. Medically termed as “nocturnal emission”. During the REM (rapid eye movement) phase of sleep, it is normal for guys to experience an erection and ejaculate. Your central nervous system spirits up and your body goes through the same physical reactions that happen when you're turned on in real life.

Exploring into lucid dreaming sexuality may have some unexpected results due to the power of the erotic energies, and here are some tips on how can you explore Eros safely in lucid dreams:

Eye Contact. Get focused on you dream. Dream figures can connect consent this way. Direct eye contact, especially in the powerful way you say, represents a strong connection with whatever the person or things represents because that happens in dreams and can lead to some ecstatic moments in and of itself.

Surprise Arrivals and Shape-Shifting Dream Figures. Often times we have a fantasy in mind but someone else present in the lucid dream. This is a gentle situation and only you can know what to do. Moreover, the dream brings vision when an unexpected dream character arrives. This person may have something to share that is not of a sexual nature. So pay attention to whispering dream figures. Our minds have deep connections between ecstasy and repulsion, so it’s important to stay grounded and remember that this is a dream.

Stay Flexible. Being flexible when discovering the sensual side of lucid dreaming is good. If you have a strange new fantasy that comes out of nowhere, remember that you are dreaming and in a safe place to explore new ideas. And who says you need to have a dream body to experience ecstasy? Above all, as with all forms of intimacy: love yourself. If you can’t love yourself, you can’t love anyone else.

Play Safe. Dream eroticism is just about the safest sex around. Thus, there are some valid concerns to consider because of the intense emotionality that is often accessed during lucid dreams. Often intimacy can cover the powerful psychological aspects that require the highest caution.

For some people, especially beginners, if you are feeling uncomfortable about lucid dream sexuality, talk with an adult you trust. Talking about it is the best way to allow you to feel more comfortable about this natural part of your development with respect, gratitude, and sincerity. You will learn that erotic lucid dreaming can be fun and fulfilling with the right information. So, educate yourself into a proper manner of lucid dreaming.

DREAM RECALL: Boost Your Memory Techniques

DREAM RECALL:
Boost Your Memory Techniques

Making a consistent effort to recall and record your dreams will help your waking mind to associate itself more closely with your dream experience. It's also an excellent way to increase imagination, creative and intuitive capabilities which are all intimately connected with dreams. Dreaming is absolutely essential when it comes to maintaining a healthy mind. The thing is that some people remember their dreams, while others do not. The reason that some individuals do not seem to remember their dreams can be explained by the fact that during the sequence of a typical night, we all go through a cycle of different levels of sleep.

According to Sigmund Freud, a well-known psychologist puts forward the theory that dreaming was the minds way of dealing with emotions, desires, and feelings, that the conscious mind would have a considerable amount of difficulty dealing with in any other way. These emotions are sometimes completely suppressed by the individual’s conscious mind and thus exist only in the unconscious mind. This is what we call dreams, where they appear in a disguise form.

How to better remember your dreams? Here are some helpful techniques in helping your dream recall:

KEEP A CLEAR MIND. It is important to stay positive about being able to remember your dreams. Having too many thoughts on your mind can distract you from remembering your dream in the morning. Tell yourself that "I will recall my dream when I wake up". This is a proven technique to help dream recall. Simply by motivating yourself to remember your dreams will actually help you to better remember your dreams.

FOCUS AND ATTENTION. You need to understand that dream recall is an inherent, natural human trait. That is why young children are usually in touch with dreams, as are some native cultures who share their dreams with each other daily. Dream recall is a bit like a mental muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it becomes. Without exercise it may shrink, but it is there if you decide to work it out again. So if your recall is poor, trust that it will come in time, and the trust alone will actually help.

AVOID ALCOHOL INTAKE. Taking medication before going to bed or eating fatty foods too close to bedtime as these things can hinder you from remembering your dream.

BEDTIME HABIT. Before going to sleep, review your dreams from the previous nights. This allows you to begin to connect with your dream memory, and is also an opportunity to interpret your dreams and spot connections to the day's events. Suggest to yourself that you will spontaneously awaken when you need to without using an alarm clock, since it can inhibit recall. This method works well with practice, but you may initially wish to set your alarm for 15 minutes after your suggested wake-up time, just to be safe. Any time you awaken, keep your eyes closed and do not moved. If you moved since waking, return to your earlier body position. Gather as many images, feelings or impressions as you can, then rise and keep a pencil/notebook or tape recorder next to your bed so that it will be within reach as soon as you wake up. You want to make recording your dreams as easy a task as possible. Having a small lamp by your bedside is also a good idea should you wake up in the middle of the night and want to record your dream immediately. You'll be surprised at how much more you can remember as you write. This is a challenge to yourself that requires a little more dedication but has it's pay-offs since it gives your waking and dreaming states of mind more opportunity to overlap, and hence triggers better dream recall.

DRAW A PICTURE. A picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes. Even if you are not an artist a simple drawing can help to remind details of your dream.

MEDITATE. During the first few weeks of focusing on increasing your recall, take a quiet/meditative moment and imagine your dream journal's pages filled with many written down dreams, and even accompanying drawings, images, and other notes that you've added about them. See this as clearly as you can in your mind and make sure to feel pleased that your dream recall is very good and still growing even better.

SHARE YOUR DREAMS. A weekly study group with a shared interest in dreams is unmatchable for sustained motivation and inspiration. Learn to share your dreams and talk about them with others, no matter how apparently insignificant. The more often you acknowledge your dreams and bring them into "reality", the easier it will be to remember them.

Increase the number of dreams you can remember by waking up more often in the night. We have several (Rapid Eye Movement) REM cycles in the night, and they get longer and longer toward morning. If you only record the last dream you had before you get up in the morning, there are more dreams you might not be remembering.

Many people believe that dreams can provide insights into our lives and feelings, but the trouble is, they're notoriously difficult to remember. With conscious effort you can remember more of your dreams and recall them in greater detail.

Develop an exciting lucid night life and use it to improve your waking world with our Sleep Induction and Lucid Dreaming Binaural Beats-Memorable Vivid Dreams video.

Altering Brainwaves To Achieve Success by using the Power of Sound

The title might sound intimidating, and most probably a lot of you are doubtful and confused about it. But before any judgement is placed on the table, let me explain as best I can and lay my point across to you.

The basic premise of this article is all about the Power of Thought, or Power of Manifestation, with an added method in using brainwave frequencies to assist in making the intentions happen in reality. One will first need to fully understand the concept of manifesting one's desires and accept the fact that there will still be action needed in order for the events to take place. For religious people, they have been practicing the power of prayer, and devotees can attest to these prayers coming true. Using that as an example, it is clear how thoughts can be such a powerful energy tool without us really knowing how they can actually happen.

Religious, spiritual, or not, anyone can achieve what they desire for. But there are some important things to consider, if you truly intend on using this to achieve success in your life.

  • What is it that you truly want? Is it for personal gain?
  • Is it a material desire?
  • Is it a selfless wish?
  • Will the path to get to it hurt others?
Why are we asking such things? Simply because the Universe knows how deep the desire goes, and the intentions behind it and for it. Personal, selfish gain doesn't seem to cut it, but then again, selfish reasons are very debatable. Let's re-word that into to greed. Being successful in life is not a bad thing. Be it for wealth, for a promotion and the likes, as long as what you want will make you truly happy.

It is important that you become specific with what you want. That way, you can also see the obstacles up ahead. If you want more money, know how to focus on where this financial gain would possibly be coming from. Money just doesn't fall from the tree. You have to get the ladder, or climb that tree, and reach up for that sweet rewarding fruit. Once you are aware of the possible obstacles that might come your way, you will be able to choose carefully which step to take.

Sometimes, just having that thought doesn't seem like anything is happening. This is normal. Not everything we want will be brought swiftly down to us all at once. There is still that need to push ourselves into a specific goal. Surprisingly, there are sound frequencies that help bring our state of mind into focus, creative power and the strong will to gain success.

Using carefully formulated binaural beats, the frequencies used here are intended to guide the listener subconsciously into focusing on achieving success in what they want. Close your eyes, bring forth to mind your goals and dreams, and just listen.

Sounds are vibrations that travel through the air, or other mediums, and they are also another form of energy created when air molecules vibrate and move in patterns known as waves. These sound waves can be heard and felt all around us. In voices, the wind blowing, music, water streaming down a river. It is everywhere. And it is an invisible energy that we human beings have yet to fully understand and acknowledge in our modern society.

When people listen to music, each individual has a different reaction towards it. We often listen to our favorite songs whenever we feel down and need a good mood elevator. The best speakers in the world not only know how to give a presentation, but they have also mastered the element of sound by knowing how to properly pronounce the words and how the flow of the way they speak should be. They can grab the attentions of the audiences with the power of their words. Musicians, classic and modern, can feel the art that they pour into their music, knowing the progression of the scales will reveal the soul, or the message, of what they create. Even the animal kingdom knows how to use sound to their advantages. Sonar clicks from dolphins or whales can travel for miles. Elephants can communicate with each other using very low rumbles that we humans are not able to pick up. Even the universe emits sound waves. The mysterious clicking noise of the recently probed comet 67P/C-G is said to sound too eerie and alien-like. Even the planets emit a frequency due to the spins in their orbits.

So how does Sound affect us?

What do you feel when you suddenly hear a crashing sound? Or when you hear a baby's laughter? Sound affects us in more ways than you would think. A simple sound can flood our brains with all kinds of thoughts and can trigger all kinds of emotions or sensations. Sound is such a powerful force but many of us take it for granted. As the sound waves reach our ears, they have a great effect on our brain activity.

We all have our own unique brain wave flow that varies throughout the day and night. These brain waves are known as Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta, and are categorizes as frequencies. They would change depending on the activity you are currently into, or the emotions that you feel. There have been many studies about the effects of sound to the human mind and emotional aspect, and there are now so many sound and music therapy that has been helping people all over the world.

To simply categorize the different effects of these four brain waves occur within us, the  Beta waves are associated with concentration and alertness. Alpha waves are mostly active during creativity and relaxation. Theta is mostly found during meditation, and Delta occurs during sleep. As the different frequencies found under each brain wave happen, we find ourselves in different stages of thought, emotion and action through the day. Many people are know using these audio triggers to help put themselves in their acquired mood.

Now remember, these brain wave frequencies that are used in sound therapy programs, such as binaural beats or isochronic tones, are not always used for subliminal or hypnotic trances. They are merely triggers to help your mind get acquainted into a particular state. Binaural beats seem scary to use for others, as fear of brain manipulation or hypnosis might occur.

We at Brainwave Power Music has been creating sound and music therapy audio tracks for over two years. The passion and interest was ignited by the use of sound frequencies to assist our state of being into a certain type of mindset and/or emotion. Sleep aids, study and work audio accompaniments, as well as music for emotional balance have been our most-listened-to tracks. There is this need for people to seek for that extra push to get to these state of minds, and the compliments we have been getting from our viewers have all been heartwarming. Knowing that we have helped others in our music therapy motivates us to continue our work and research.
