The Brainwave Smart Pillow

At Brainwave Power Music, the team has something hot brewing in their cauldron of ideas...

Sleep Science + Technology + Brainwave Entrainment = The Brainwave Smart Pillow

For over a year, the Brainwave Power Music team has dedicated themselves into creating and providing you with over 300 binaural beats and isochronic tone music. They have been finding more ways and other means to help and aid people mentally, emotionally and physically, through the use of Sound Therapy.

Sound Therapy is an alternative method for healing that mainly uses frequency and vibration, such as the functionality of binaural beats and isochronic tones. Researchers who have studied the effects of frequency, sound, light, color, and vibration include the likes of Royal Rife (Rife Frequencies), Abraham's Wave Oscillator and Robert Monroe of the Monroe Institute. Sound Therapy is a new field of study with the potential to shift the mainstream understanding of health and wellness— of the mental, physical and emotional aspects— and their association with sound. This is the brainwave entrainment aspect.

Now, looking at what sleep science has provided us from its own field of study, it has created memory foams, improved mattresses that help in experiencing better sleep, reduces snoring and ensures sure that our body is supported correctly. There has been numerous devices and gadgets to help and improve sleep, and these combinations are what ignited the lightbulb in the minds of the Brainwave Power Music team.

We present to you...
The Brainwave Smart Pillow

The Brainwave Smart Pillow is a technological lifestyle innovative product which will help to improve the quality of sleep, which is an important part of life, and incorporating it with original music created by the team themselves.

The objective is to aid people in improving their overall wellness through the use of the binaural beats and isochronic tone audio tracks and especially help those with sleep disorders, sleep problems or insomnia.

Sleep is just one arena that this product will provide. Other aspects include audio tracks that give intense relaxation, or boosts of natural energy triggered by binaural frequencies. The pillow will be equipped with a technology called Bone Conduction Speakers which provides a comfortable, soothing sleep. Made with Memory Foam, it will also give good, correct head support.

In Summary:
  • Induces sleep and relaxation using binaural beats and soothing sound therapy music. The sound is transmitted to your ears via bone conduction speakers inside the pillow.
  • The bone conduction speaker enables you to enjoy Binaural Beats by the vibration produced from it attached to the occipital area in the back of the head.
  • Listen to your favorite music on your MP3 player or smartphone without earphones. No one will be disturbed by your music because only you can hear it. Thanks to bone conduction technology.
  • It can also act as an alarm which wakes you up in the morning without disturbing your partner. Again, thanks to bone conduction technology.

It's an exciting time for the people behind Brainwave Power Music, and we hope you are just as pumped as we are. Follow our blog or join the team at Google+ to get updates about the developments of the Brainwave Smart Pillow!

    The Benefits of Sleep

Sleep is a naturally recurring state characterized by reduced or absent consciousness, relatively suspended sensory activity, and inactivity of nearly all voluntary muscles. The amount of sleep each person needs depends on a variety of factors, such as age and lifestyle. For most adults, an average of 7 to 8 hours a night is ideal. Taking a nap also reboots your brain and power naps of 10 to 20 minutes can actually boost alertness and energy.

As of 2014, a person's life expectancy is about 79 years, and that means that we spend around 25 years of our lives sleeping. Sleep involves the much needed time for our mind and body to relax and recharge, and it gives us numerous health benefits. Neurological studies have found that the lack of sleep or sleep deprivation can have disastrous effects to the way we think, feel and function. It can cause depression, forgetfulness, diabetes and even heart disease.

Good sound, deep sleep coincides with the release of growth hormone in children and young adults. Many of the body's cells also show increased production and reduced breakdown of proteins during deep sleep. Since proteins are the building blocks needed for cell growth and for repair of damage from factors like stress and ultraviolet rays, deep sleep may truly be "beauty sleep." Activity in parts of the brain that control emotions, decision-making processes, and social interactions is drastically reduced during deep sleep, suggesting that this type of sleep may help people maintain optimal emotional and social functioning while they are awake.

The major benefits we get from good sound sleep are the following:

    - improved memory, learning and sharper attention skills
    - longer lifespan
    - lower risk inflammation linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, arthritis and premature aging
    - creative simulation
    - improvement of physical performance and stamina, such as for athletes
    - balanced metabolism and weight mass
    - lower stress levels
    - better reaction time and decision making
    - anti-depression
    - higher levels of the immune system

With these in mind, we present to you one of our music tracks created specifically to aid you in getting good, healthy sleep.

    Understanding Chakra Healing

Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones have been used as, not only for sleep aids or brain toners, but as meditative accompaniments as well. One category of meditation is known as chakra healing, which is a knowledge and a practice not many know or fully understand.
Our body contains a river of energies that flows through our system. We are constantly enveloped and are absorbing these energies each and every day. What many do not know is that we can enhance these energies to fill our mind, body and soul by activating certain energy choke points.
Within these rivers, there are seven known and important energy points. In Hindu and tantric/yogic traditions, among other belief systems, these energy points are called chakras, and each chakra symbolizes and governs specific parts of our physical body, our mental states and our emotional levels.

Not only do our minds and bodies need healing and balancing, our emotional and spiritual part of ourselves needs them too.

In this article, we will guide you through each known chakra and their respective meanings and benefits, as well as some tips to open and cleanse your chakras.

    SIMPLE TIPS TO DO:
To prepare yourself for a session of chakra healing, we would advise you to find a comfortable, quiet place where you won't be disturbed or interrupted. Put aside an hour of your time each day for this. If you really want to do this, you will make time for it.

As you begin this session, play each chakra video below and close your eyes. Breathe in and out slowly, focusing your mind on each breath. Be aware of the location of each chakra that you are opening and activating.

As the music starts to play, imagine the color associated with each chakra. You can put an object to those colors, it can be a sphere or a ball of light, or the image displayed in this article.

Now, as the music plays on, imagine cleaning your chakra image. You can pretend to either wipe your chakra object clean, or maybe turn on an imaginary light switch and watch it glow brighter according to its respective color. This is where your chakra cleansing takes place.

Once you feel or think that you are satisfied with the way your chakra glows or gleams, imagine that your are pushing a brilliant river of energy from that chakra point to the next.

Repeat these simple steps through every chakra point you activate. If you start to feel sensations such as tingling or swaying, do not be afraid or worried. This simply means that your mind and body are accepting the chakra healing.

    THE SEVEN CHAKRAS:

    ~
    Root chakra
The first chakra is the root chakra, also known as the Muladhara. This chakra is located at the base of the spine and is related to instinct, security, survival, sexuality and sensuality. It is an important spiritual energy point where the dormant Kundalini resides. It represents our foundation and feelings of being grounded, of well-being and being centered and is associated with the color red.

    ~

    Sacral

The second chakra is known as the Sacral or Svadhisthana. The Sacral chakra is located at the lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches in. It deals with emotional identity, creativity, desire, pleasure and self-gratification. It is an energy center that governs over your sense of self-worth and creativity. Proper balancing of this chakra means to have the ability to let emotions flow freely and to recognize and acknowledge them for what they are, for they define you. It is associated with the color orange

    ~

    Solar Plexus

The third chakra is called the Manipura, or more popularly known as the Solar Plexus. Located in the upper abdomen and around the stomach area, it is the center for The Ego, of passions and impulses, and defines the self-esteem. The Manipura is related to the metabolic and digestive systems. Mentally it governs personal power, emotionally it governs expansiveness, and spiritually, all matters of growth. It is also the center for astral travel and a receptor for when you call upon your spirit guides. It is associated with the color yellow.

    ~

    Heart chakra
The fourth chakra is called the Heart chakra or Anahata. Located at the center of chest just above heart. It deals with social identity, unconditional love, wisdom, compassion, and inner peace. In our chakra healing music track, we included binaural beats that correlate to inter-awareness and self-purpose, creativity, music and a frequency to contact with spirit guides. Key issues involving the Anahata involve complex emotions, compassion, tenderness, unconditional love, equilibrium, rejection and well-being. Physically Anahata governs circulation, emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self and others, mentally it governs passion, and spiritually it governs devotion. It is associated with the color green.

    ~

    Throat chakra
The Throat chakra or Vishudda is the 5th chakra located around the throat area. It deals with communication, self-expression of feelings and of the truth. Let the energy flow in freely and acknowledge the centering of positive intuition and self-knowledge. This chakra is paralleled to the thyroid, a gland that is also in the throat and which produces thyroid hormone, responsible for growth and maturation. Physically, Vishuddha governs communication, emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security. It is associated with the color blue.

    ~

    Third Eye chakra
The sixth chakra, also called Ajna, is popularly known as the third eye chakra. Located on the forehead in between the eyes, it is believed to be connected to the pineal gland which is said to be the doorway to the spiritual realm. This chakra deals with self-knowledge, wisdom, clairvoyance, insight, intuitive reasoning and the imagination. To balance this chakra is to gain a higher understanding of our existence in this reality, and makes way to enhance our connections to the spiritual self. It is associated with the indigo color.

    ~

    Crown chakra
Known as the seventh and highest chakra, the Crown or Sahasrara, is located at the very top of the head. It's emotional connection is with our inner and outer beauties, our connection to spirituality and conscious awareness. When this chakra is balanced, we feel pure bliss and a feeling of being one with the universe. Its role may be envisioned somewhat similarly to that of the pituitary gland, which secretes hormones to communicate to the rest of the endocrine system and also connects to the central nervous system via the hypothalamusSahasrara's inner aspect deals with the release of karma, physical action with meditation, mental action with universal consciousness and unity, and emotional action with "beingness." The associated color is violet.

This binaural beat meditation music was created specifically to aid you in opening this spiritual doorway and access your higher power.

    Samsung Gear 2 Neo Review

    The SAMSUNG GEAR 2 NEO
        Quick Specs:
    Display: 1.63" Super AMOLED (320 x 320)

    RAM: 512MB

    Storage: 4GB

    Camera (Gear 2): 2MP + AF 720p @ 30fps

Battery: 300 mAh (2-3 Days of normal use)

Samsung has three smart watches in its early-2014 lineup. How many of them are good, and which one should you buy? It's not easy making a decision when most people aren't even sure if they want a smart watch -- any smart watch -- in the first place.

The Gear 2 Neo is the ultimate hedge bet: it's the least-expensive way to own the most full-featured Gear. It runs the same apps as the Gear 2, has the same screen and processor, and does absolutely everything the Gear 2 does, including track heart rate and change the channels on your TV -- except it lacks a camera, and it's made entirely of plastic.

Black, gray, or orange: the Gear 2 Neo comes clad in one of these colors, from wristband to watch body, in basic plastic. The display, glass-covered, has a brilliantly bright AMOLED touchscreen. In plastic, the Neo feels more like a futuristic Swatch than the more metal-clad Gear 2.

The watchband can be replaced, either with another Gear band or most 22mm watchbands. It involves sliding a pin out and possibly removing links if the replacement is a metal band, but at least the Neo's own band has easy pop-out pins. It still feels like a project.

The Neo charges via Micro USB but needs a clip-on plastic dongle to attach to the Neo's rear contact points. It's annoying but a lot more compact than last year's Galaxy Gear charging cradle. A full charge, which take a couple of hours, lasts around three to four days while connected to your phone, longer if offline.

The Gear 2 Neo has a ton of baked-in features: a stopwatch and timer, a weather app, an IR-based WatchOn TV remote control, notifications for all apps that ping your Samsung phone regularly, an onboard offline music player, a heart-rate monitor and pedometer, and a microphone and speaker for making phone calls, recording voice memos, using S-Voice voice recognition, and playing back music loudly to annoy everyone around you. That's lots more than the Pebble watch offers, on paper.

The Gear 2 Neo's basic exercise-logging functions -- the pedometer and the sometimes-helpful heart-rate monitor would be great if they were more reliable, but they don't make the grade. Maybe new firmware or software could fix the problems. Right now, it's not enough.

The Gear 2 Neo is the best Samsung smartwatch yet, but it's not yet an essential smartwatch.

The biggest problem with all of Samsung's current wearables are their dependence on Samsung phones to pair with. If the Gear 2 Neo worked with more phones, I'd like it more. It's priced lower than the Pebble Steel, and losing the Gear 2's camera and metal design are well worth it for the extra hundred dollars in savings. There are clear hardware advantages to the Gear 2 Neo's many extra features, but they're collectively a jumble versus being a coherent wrist-worn whole.

On the eve of new Google wearable devices, due possibly as soon as at Google's developer conference in late June, you're better off waiting. Samsung may have improved its wearable hardware, but the software it's running could be a lot better. And, by the end of this year, Samsung may very well have other watches that are better still. I'd want to see what Android Wear is all about before making the leap to Gear. But if you really want a smartwatch now, and you want one that works with Samsung phones, the Gear 2 Neo is the best bet. It's a very solid leap forward...it's just not fully there yet.

    PROS:
Samsung's Gear 2 Neo comes with a more attractive price, a feature set that's nearly identical to the more expensive Gear 2, and a lot of bells and whistles including apps, offline music playback, and heart-rate monitoring.

    CONS:
Many of the extras don't work as smoothly as you'd expect. Fitness features aren't well thought out, need polishing. Works only with Samsung phones and tablets.

    The Bottom Line
The Gear 2 Neo offers the best balance of features and price among Samsung's three 2014 smartwatches, but it falls short of must-have status.

Samsung Gear is compatible with 17 types of device models :
    Samsung Galaxy S5 / Galaxy Grand 2 / Galaxy Note 3 / Galaxy Note 3 Neo / Galaxy Note 2 / Galaxy S4 / Galaxy S3 / Galaxy S4 Zoom / Galaxy S4 Active / Galaxy S4 mini /
    Galaxy Mega 6.3 / Galaxy Mega 5.8 / Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) / Galaxy NotePRO (12.2) / Galaxy TabPRO (12.2/10.1/8.4)

Canon has long hinted that another path to competing with mirrorless entries from Nikon, Sony, Olympus and Panasonic lay in the miniaturization of its familiar SLR design. With the announcement of the EOS 100D / Rebel SL1, Canon has laid its cards on the table. Billed as 'the world's smallest, lightest APS-C DSLR', the Rebel SL1 unabashedly merges the Rebel-series' DSLR operational hallmarks with an impressively small body.

Thanks to a downsizing of internal components that has resulted in a smaller shutter mechanism, thinner sensor module and smaller-footprint circuit board, the Rebel SL1 is significantly smaller and lighter than the co-announced Rebel T5i, while offering the same 18MP resolution, DIGIC 5 processor and, presumably image quality. The Rebel SL1 is, in fact, comfortably the smallest DSLR we've yet seen, and not so far off 'SLR-style' mirrorless models such as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5.

As attention-grabbing as the Rebel SL1's small footprint undoubtedly is, what's equally impressive is that Canon has been able to retain most of the controls and features typically found on a Rebel-series camera. A front dial and dedicated ISO, exposure compensation and AF/AE lock buttons are among the controls that will be familiar to any Canon DSLR user. Its touchscreen is identical in resolution to that on the Rebel T4iand T5i, but is fixed, rather than articulated.

The Rebel SL1 introduces version two of Canon's Hybrid CMOS AF system, originally seen in the Rebel T4i. While Canon is making no claims about focus speed improvements of its hybrid phase/contrast detect system, the new version covers a significantly greater portion of the live view area (80% of the area). This should make it a significantly more useful option than the version found on the EOS M and T4i.

Canon Rebel SL1 / EOS 100D key specifications
Small form factor DSLR weighing 400g/14oz.
    18MP APS-C sensor with 14-bit DIGIC 5 processor
'Hybrid CMOS AF II' system with 80% frame coverage
Continuous autofocus in movie mode with subject tracking
ISO 100-12800 (expandable to ISO 25600)
    4 fps continuous shooting
1080/30p video recording, monaural microphone (stereo input jack)
3-inch fixed capacitive touch-screen (same as EOS M)
9 point AF (central sensor is cross-type)
'Creative Filters' image-processing controls, previewed live on-screen

The Rebel SL1 achieves its notable size reduction without sacrificing much in the way of external control compared to the Rebel T5i. On the SL1 the button at the center of the 4-way controller does double-duty as both the Q menu and Set button, and the surrounding buttons have lost their dedicated functions. The SL1 has a lower capacity flash, with a guide number of 9m (versus 13mm on the 650D) and houses a mono versus stereo microphone, though it does retain a stereo mic input. And while the handgrip is not as deep as the one on its larger sibling, the SL1 still provides a distinctly DSLR handling experience.

    Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens
Introduced alongside the EOS Rebel SL1 was the EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. This is the standard kit zoom for the SL1 and brings the total number of EF-S STM lenses to three, with a 40mm pancake and 18-135mm (both shown below) also on offer. Canon's STM lenses are designed to take full advantage of the Hybrid AF system found in the Rebel T4i, T5i and SL1. They offer quiet autofocus, helpful when shooting video, and full time manual focus. The 18-55mm lens has a close focusing distance of 0.25m and a circular seven-bladed aperture. An internal focusing motor means the lens does not extend while turning the focus ring.

The STM focus motor is extremely quiet and, when using the optical viewfinder, impressively fast, offering a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. But switch the camera to live view and, just like the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, it slows down significantly. This is unfortunate - Canon's live view AF system still distinctly lags behind the competition.

    Astral Projection using Binaural Beats

     Our YouTube Channel

Astral Projection or O.B.E. (Out of Body Experience) is a fantastic and absolutely humbling experience. This is different from Lucid Dreaming, which a lot of people mistakingly take one for the other. While lucid dreaming simply means that you are able to take control and is aware during a dream, astral projection is an entirely different arena.

To simplify what astral projection is, it is the essence of your spirit— or energy form— leaving your physical body. Many fear this concept with the misconception that if this happens there is the probability that our spirit will never return to the body. That is a big fallacy.

Our spirit will always come back to our body, our vessel. We are energy forms experiencing the physical aspects of what Life has to offer. So as you lay yourself down or sit comfortably, focus on your breathing and let cluttered thoughts pass through and not linger in your mind until all you are aware of is the dark void and your breathing. Once you start to feel the relaxation, repeat this phrase:

    "Mind awake, body asleep."

The important things to remember when you attempt to do an O.B.E. are to relax and let go of fear. Fear creates the demons that we manifest only in our imagination. If you allow fear to take over, you are basically creating your own monsters. There will be many different things you will see or experience during your first attempts at astral projection. Based on my own experience, you might see a hazy, cloudy vortex spinning at the center of the void. I've seen smoky faces come in and out during my sessions, and it's nice to just think of them as the guardians who are watching over my practices.

One of the common things that people experience during the start of the astral training is the tingling of the body. You might feel gentle waves flowing through you, from the toes to your scalp. Or you could feel your body going numb or heavy. This is your physical form telling you that it is relaxed. So just go with it, and let everything flow without worry or concern. If you feel a part of your body getting itchy, simply focus on that part and tell it to cease. And one of the things that you might experience is the sensation of floating. Floating on water or air, it doesn't matter.

Astral Projection can be achieved best when it is practiced on a daily basis. Meditation does play a big part in achieving an out-of-body experience, and do not worry if you are unable to do an O.B.E. on the first try. For some it takes only a few days or weeks, others could be months or years.

In the video below, we created this long binaural beat with relaxing music ideal for meditation sessions or while you sleep at night. Your body will need to go through different levels of sleep spindles before your mind opens up for potential astral travel. Make sure that the volume is set at a comfortable low setting, as the frequencies used in this music track shoots up at intervals. These are markers that will hopefully aid your brain state to achieve astral projection.

Relax, breathe deeply, and set your intentions towards positivity, love & light. For the best astral projection experience, we advise you to do more research first about what to expect during astral projection before you proceed to listen to our music. There is nothing to fear about astral projection, or lucid dreaming or sleep paralysis. We advise you to clear your chakras, be knowledgeable about what could be expected when lucid dreaming or astral projecting, and just enjoy the ride!

    Namaste.

LG 55LA970W 4K Ultra HD TV Review

     Check out our channel!

With an astonishing 4K screen resolution, the LG 55LA970W is at the cutting edge of TV technology. This resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD TVs and it's a difference you can see - big time! On the LG's big 55 inch screen, this gain in resolution is especially noticeable and, even when close up to the screen, the detail and realism is awesome. Although 4K video is currently rare, with 4K Tru-Ultra HD upscaling built-in, you can get much of the benefit of 4K resolution from standard HD signals.

    HEVC CODEC

This is one of the very first TVs to come with the HEVC codec built-in. Although it sounds dull, this recently standardised system will ensure that the 55LA970W is likely to be compatible with future streamed (compressed) 4K content. With the potential for video providers such as Netflix to use this tech it's well worth having to future-proof your TV viewing.

    THE SMARTEST TV YET

At the heart of this TV is LG Smart TV. This combines many features and presents them in an attractive and easy to use way. The list of features is extensive but some of the highlights include an app store and on-board web browser. This makes it easy to catch up with popular services such as YouTube, Facebook or catch-up TV sensation, the BBC iPlayer. In addition to these easily accessible apps, you can also search out your favourite websites using the browser. Thanks to DLNA compatibility you can also stream music from your PC or network attached storage system. Smart TV also makes it possible to browse your choices whilst still keeping an eye on the current channel being displayed in the corner of the screen. As standard, the 55LA970W also includes wi-fi connectivity built-in - no more dongles, just seamless connectivity.

The LG 55LA970W 55'' Ultra HD 4K LED Television comes with a free 5-Year Warranty.

Offering more than a glimpse of tomorrow's TV, the LG 55LA970W is simply the future of TV, today!
